Theater. Kamilah was honored by her reception of a Helen Hayes nomination
for Best Lead Actress for portrayal in Pearl Cleage’s solo play
“Chain”. Her most recent film “On the Outs”
was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award for Best New Feature.
Kamilah has been touring with the We Got Issues! Performance Piece
& Civic Participation Project of the Next Wave of Women &
Power since 2005 and has performed with We Got Issues! since its inception.
